Hi! My name is Melinda Minerds from LIFE Health Centre.
After finishing my study in 2005, I knew that I wanted to use what I had learned to help and guide others to achieve ultimate health and happiness. The obvious path was to begin consulting as a naturopath. Having been raised in a family who are health conscious and believe in prevention rather than cure, becoming a naturopath was an easy transition.
I have now been a practicing naturopath for over eight years and truly know that I have found my passion. I have had the honour of sharing some life changing moments and some challenging moments with many individuals. My desire to assist people in their journey to health and happiness motivates me to keep learning and expanding my knowledge.
Within my clinic I use a Vegatest Expert which is an electro-dermal testing device to help determine where energetic imbalances lie in the body. This is particularly useful for allergies, hormonal imbalances, mood disorders, toxin overload, digestive disturbances and infections. It also helps to find which organs are under stress and if there are vitamin or mineral deficiencies present.
Bio impedance analysis will also be used if needed, to measure body fat, muscle mass, hydration levels, visceral fat, basal metabolic rate and metabolic age. This is great for keeping people focused and motivated to achieve their health goals
Nutrition and exercise are key to optimising our bodies full potential, therefore both of these are discussed in detail during a consult. Herbal or nutritional supplements may also be utilised to target specific needs. Each person is different and unique, so their healing will be tailored to treat their body as a whole.
As for myself and my passion for health - when I am not at work you will either find me in the kitchen trying some new 'raw food recipe', at the beach exercising, walking the dog or playing music.
